Teaching Methods

Make your move!

To ride against today’s competitors and bulls, your reactions have to be perfect every second.

Our teaching methods combine several key factors that will perfect your riding skills in a quarter of the time.

  • Studying the best bull riders of all time (view video)
  • Learn the moves on Stationary Barrel
  • Practice moves on Drop Barrel
  • Practice moves on horses
  • Practice on bulls
  • Learn mental skills

My staff and I keep a constant watch over your progress to insure every drill and ride is done right.

Takes dedication and commitment.

There are only 2 major areas involved in learning to ride bulls:

  • A clear set of rules every bull rider must follow in order to make a successful ride
  • Your mental attitude

Over the years I have seen very talented bull riders defeated because they never developed focus, direction and a set of well-defined goals. Winning is 60% mental and 40% ability and the practice of this concept took me from an average bull rider (I started riding at age 19) to a world champion in 5 years. There is no magic spell, just dedication and commitment.

Meditation and positive thinking lectures are a big part of my school and the students love it! They reinforce your dedication after you leave. To familiarize yourself with these concepts and get you mentally prepared for the school I suggest purchasing my 2 CD set on Positive Thinking. Each CD covers a different lecture (students will receive a free set). Also, read the new best selling book "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne.

Bull riding is not for everyone and that's okay, but the information I teach applies to any sport, lifestyle or profession you may choose.

Success Is Proven!

We have trained 11 champions.  And many top riders come to get extra training and help in porblem solving. We have even tained non professionals with great success.

I taught actor Luke Perry to ride for the movie "8 Seconds".

We had 6 weeks to turn a city boy into the late, great Lane Frost, the hitch was he could not ride a real bull for insurance reasons.

My method was “to teach you to act as if you already possessed the skills of the bull rider you wanted to be”, so then it was only a matter of teaching him the drills I had designed, by riding bareback for balance and watching videos of Lane's great rides. This gave Luke Perry the mental picture of the results he needed to achieve.

After the film wrapped, on the last day when insurance wasn't an issue, Luke successfully rode 5 bulls. But his proudest moment though was at an actual rodeo event; he rode a bull for 82 points in exhibition! View clip from 8 seconds
